People, not algorithms
Discovery should come from someone whose taste you trust. We build tools that put a person's judgment in front of you, not a ranking tuned for engagement.
A marketplace built on human taste instead of ad auctions.
It’s organized around Circles — groups of people in your city who share an interest and stand behind the things they actually use.
Yipi's Story
The things you love say more about you than any bio ever could. What’s on your shelf, what you’d drive across town for, what you tell people about unprompted — that is a truer picture than anything you would write about yourself.
So we built a marketplace where that is the organizing principle. Not what a brand paid to put in front of you — what the people around you actually stand behind.
“The best products are the ones someone you trust can’t stop talking about.”
Mission Statement
You ask someone whose taste you trust. They tell you. That has been the best way to find anything since the earliest marketplaces, and nothing online has beaten it.
Our mission is to make the most powerful form of discovery easier.
One opinion is a review. A Circle is a pattern from real people — which is why nothing here is sponsored, ranked by ad spend, or tuned to keep you scrolling.
Our Values
Six commitments that decide what gets built, what gets shown, and what we turn down.
Discovery should come from someone whose taste you trust. We build tools that put a person's judgment in front of you, not a ranking tuned for engagement.
A fave means someone would stand behind it. We measure that instead of clicks, and we show you where it came from — your community, local experts, published press, or all three.
No paid placement, no auction deciding what you see first, no brand buying its way to the top of a Circle. If that ever changes, we'll say so plainly.
You choose who sees each Circle — public, family and friends, or just you — and you can change it any time. We don't sell your data or follow you around the web.
An independent maker with forty devoted customers should be as findable as a brand with a media budget. Inventors' Corner exists for exactly that reason.
Gifts that Give and 100%forHumanity aren't campaigns bolted on the side. Buying well and doing good should be the same decision more often than they are.
The standing commitment
Values statements are easy. These are the specific things Yipi does not do, so you can hold us to them.
Communities
Dog people, yoga people, people halfway through a home renovation. Greater Cincinnati is a Community; the Circles live inside it.
A Yipi-List is one person’s picks — a Circle is everyone’s. Put something on a list and it counts as a vote in the Circles you belong to.
Free to join. Nothing here is sponsored, ranked by ad spend, or tuned to keep you scrolling.
